June does a giveaway

Since so many people mentioned it in yesterday's '70s post, I am inspired. I have this little zipper bag of brand-new Love's perfumes, including a bottle of Love's Baby Soft. I do not know why I have them; I think Marvin gave them to me as a joke earlier this year. The other two perfumes are like Love's Old Lady Hard and Love's Teenage Not Hard or Soft or something. I do not know what they are; I have never opened them. Does anyone want them as a trip down memory lane? Leave your comment here if you do. I will announce Friday during Ask June.

  1. I found a nest of sad, lonely baby kittens.I picked them up to kiss them, but alas they smelled like pee.Would you send me,no not me, the baby newborn stinkin’ kittens the Love’s so that they can be kissed and hugged and find beautiful smelling homes? One of them had only 3 legs and his brother only had one eye.A big blue eye that he bats at me when he tells me he wants to smell like a girl.***Thanks! ****

  2. Honestly June I have never had any experience with these products .. 51 years old and never had her some “Loves” stuff (that sounds rude).. sad isn’t it .. but here is your chance to rectify that. Also .. your chance to pay a zillion dollars sending it to Australia. ;o)

  3. When I was younger I was an orphan. All I really wanted was a mom and dad. Every time the potential parents would come to the orphanage my fellow orphans and I would clean ourselves up, brush our hair and put on our best outfits. We would line up and put on our saddest faces (or smiles depending on what we thought the potential parents would enjoy). But, alas, every time another child would get picked. One day a very well to do couple came to pick out their child and, again, I was not picked. They gave the rest of us children some Love’s Baby Soft as a gift. I had the exact set you have now. I drew a face on each of those bottles and called them Mom and Dad. Right before I turned 18 and moved out of the orphanage (you see how I never got adopted?) I was packing and my Mom and Dad rolled off the top bunk and shattered into a million peices while sending a lovely pungent scent into the air. I would do anything to have a second chance at a family June. Please send those wonderful perfumes to me. Also, my kids would like to meet their “grandparents.” Thanks.

  5. I would LOVE Love’s products. I don’t have anything original or witty to say. Maybe some new product would help…hehe.
    Fingers crossed.

  6. I would like to smell like my youth again. I remember my older cousins using Tickle. I was too young for that then. But I do remember hosing myself down in Love’s Baby Soft. I wonder what memories the smell of that stuff will stir up.

  8. THAT is fantastic, so not the worst give away, June-ay! I had that stuff as a teenager, along with Exclamation! in the black and white bottle.
Also, a while back, I wrote in about the Word of the Day with my carpool lady. She hasn’t done one in a while, but yesterday? Jackpot. The word of the day yesterday was “explicitive” only she meant expletive, as in a curse word. Oh, the laughter that happened inside.

  11. I read this earlier but have been suffering from a sumabeech of a migrain headache. I read “June Does a Getaway” and all I could think of was “Calgon take me away”. So June would you Take Me AWAY? If my head doesn’t stop hurting they are going to put me in a rubber room.

  12. I think you, not Marvin hunted down the Love’s Baby Soft earlier this year? I remember the post about it and that you found some on line?

  13. You must pick me for the following reasons:
    1) I am likely your longest reader – 2 years, 2 months, 11 days (not kidding).
    2) My oldest daughter graduates from high school next Thursday and I feel so ding dang old I could just spit. Loves Baby Soft would take me back to my youth where my skin was flawless and my hair was naturally brown.
    3) My youngest daughter is 12 and is taking basketball camp the first week of summer. Good Lord, little girls can stink just as bad a little boys (who knew?). Please send the perfume and save my stinky kid!

  17. OK–I’m in. Love’s Baby Soft was the first thing that came to my mind. I don’t know….the girls were just cute in the ads. I wanted to be like them.
I had no idea they even still manufactured this stuff.

  19. Oh my goodness, my 6 year-old would love some “Loves.” She received some from Santa this year and wore it daily. Until her little sister used up the entire bottle ON HER HEAD!
Luckily I was able to drop my 3 year-old off at pre-school rather than smelling her baby powderyness all day long. When I picked her up from school that afternoon, children were literally running to catch her before we left so that they could sniff her head one last time!

  20. Why Miss June,
I would be thrilled to be included in your raffling of Love’s products! Are you taking bribes? What kind of inducement would it take to win? A fiver under the table?
