2011. A year in which June has already managed to amuse her own self.

Marvin and I were in the car, and waiting to cross the street was an old man. He was gray and withered and looked spent.

"Oh honey, look," I said. "There's 2010."

Then I laughed at me the whole way home.

At one point, I was sort of hot, in a "she's 27 and probably a 7" kind of a way. Now I'm old and have to develop a charming personality. Guess how that's going.

  1. I certainly love some self-amusement. Life is like a playground. Let’s have recess.

Laughter is a wonderful way to start the new year even if you have to amuse yourself.

  7. Jan just wants to sleep all day. Is it wrong? Why does my husband keep making plans for the last weekend before real life starts again? I just want to sleep! says:

How does Marvin not find you funny all ding dang day long? Does he become aggravated like my husband and just shake his head and ignore the situation (the situation being me)? If I lived with you, I would just giggle all day.

  8. PJ who loves herself a good loud snorty laugh and hearts June's sense of humor and who wouldn't have given a kipper's dick about the royal wedding if June hadn't shared her excitement. says:

Nothing better than a great spontaneous one-liner to make one just love oneself.

  9. If Marvin didn’t laugh , it was only because he was pi&&ed he didn’t think of it first. Then it would have been hilarious all the way home, to him.
    I loved it.
