Pieces of Late Wisdom–Weather Edition

I have returned from being orientaaaated, and if there's anything I love, it's when people say "orientated" instead of "oriented."

Anyway, they asked what hourly rate I'd like to get and I whipped out my highest price, and without hesitation they said, "That'll be fine" and now I'm all crap. I'll bet I could've asked for more.

June. Businesswoman and wheeler-dealer extraordinaire.

So, yesterday, before I sold myself short, I asked all y'all what kind of weather you like best. Then I traveled around the globe so I could stand in photos of the weather you all brought up. Honest. I really traveled and actually posed for real in all these pictures. As will be evident when you see the fine photos you are about to see.

  Summerfield1
Twenty-seven percent of you enjoy a warm, sunny day, as I was clearly enjoying here in this super-real photo of me in a field.

You all noted that you did NOT WANT ANY HUMIDITY in your summer day. Not one person said, "And give me a lot of that humidity." This was a relief, as I only had to travel to Arizona for this shot, and not a rainforest.

Spring
Twenty-two percent of you love a spring day, and did I fail to mention I had my legs cut off at orientation? The things I'll do for a freelance job.

Autumn1
Autumn is a big fave for 21% of you, and isn't it amazing that I traveled all the way to somewhere autumnal and struck exactly the same pose as I did in the spring setting? Must be jet lag.

Rain1
Oh, I love a rainy night, I love a rainy night. As do 15% of my faithful readers.

Winter1
Brrr! Had to travel to the East Coast for this one, to demonstrate that 11% of you enjoy the snow.

Fog1
And I haven't the foggiest why only 2% enjoy a pea-soup day such as this one.

Why has no one snatched me up for some kind of professional Photoshopper job? Or a "miming-the-weather" job? I hear there is a big call for those miming-the-weather jobs.

As usual, thank you for participating in Pieces of Wisdom. Don't you feel wiser just knowing all this?

At one point, I was sort of hot, in a "she's 27 and probably a 7" kind of a way. Now I'm old and have to develop a charming personality. Guess how that's going.

  1. That photoshopping job was KILLER! Thanks for globetrotting for us! I really enjoy your use of accessories to authenticate it all.

  2. Years ago I was shopping in Casual Corner with a friend. As I made my purchase the sales woman called out in a very sing-song voice “Don’t forget to accessorize!” Dang! Maybe that was June back in her working retail life phase. I mean, can this woman accessorize, or what?

  3. So, do you feel orientated now? or oriented or oriental?
Must say, still loving “the June” hair cut.
    I admire your percentage abilities.

What I really want is that fabulous yellow raincoat and red umbrella in the rainy picture. That lady looks lovely!!

  5. Erm not to burst your bubble but you haven’t advertised any photoshop skills in this post, not when you have so clearly visited these places in person and posed with all your accessories. Shame on you June for trying to convince us they’re fake.
The snow photo properly made me snort with laughter until I realised I actually love your coat and then jealousy took over.

  6. Lovely to see you in all these wonderful weather situations, June…they do all so become you! Particularly loved the warm and sunny pic, as I have me the cabin fever after three days of snow and ice here. Hey is that the mat from the July in Christmas party?

  9. You must be jet lagged with the whirlwind travel. Good thing you were able to travel in spite of the many flight cancellations due to the snow and ice.
Miraculous is what you are. And clever, but that goes without saying.

  10. Cannot stop laughing! The rainy one is my favorite…but there is no pool in the summer picture…I specifically asked for a pool!

  11. I think you’re in danger of having a leaf fall in your mouth in that fall picture.
Great job of interpreting and statisticalizing. Your creativity never ceases to amaze me.

  12. The Photoshopping is extrordinairre – I have no idea how to spell that. Anyhow, I can honestly say that this topic is one that I really could have gone my whole life not being wise about in regards to June’s readers. Or anyone, for that matter. But I did enjoy June’s travels to remote weather-related locales. Worth tuning in for. I now feel orientated about weather hither, thither and yon. Although I vow never to travel to yon.

  14. I had no idea these were Photoshopped! Your ingenuity knows no limits and your photography skills are unsurpassed.
    🙂
I forgot to put my vote in, but I fall evenly in all of them except the pea soup and the snow. Born and raised in central Florida, this is hardly surprising.
    Yay job!

Had to revisit this this morning for the laugh. This is a rare piece of work. Tried to pick my favorite…couldn’t be done. And…LOVE the coats! Who knew our June was such a fashionista?
