Oh my shattered arse, I am dying. Can you get pneumonia overnight? And I have 97 hours of proofreading to do. Yesterday I worked from 10 a.m. until midnight or one in the morning. I had a dream that I got a new job, and they set one of those rotating book displays in front of me, like they have for paperbacks at the drug store? And they told me I had to proofread all the books in two and a half hours. I woke up all sweaty.
Nevertheless, I have dragged myself out of my iron lung to ask if anyone in Michigan wants a kitten!
My friend Dottie, who has 854445930459 cats already, had this little kitten come running out to her in a driveway. He only weighs four pounds and he was covered in sticks. Dot thinks he has been outside a long time, but has definitely been around people because he is a sweet cat.
Her husband has put the kibosh on their 79th cat, here, so she has to find him a home. The vet guesses he is six months old. Not that the vet thinks he himself is six months old, he thinks the CAT is six months old.
Dot says she knows he looks HUGE in this photo, but it is ALL FUR.
Here he is mowin'. "Take me home! I be a good kitten!"
So if you're in Michigan and you can provide a GOOD HOME for him, let me know. Dot will deliver. Because she is ridiculous that way.
Okay, off to attempt to breathe in without coughing for once.
Thanks Laurie, for the link.
Botox for everyone, at that event!

Hulk, I had a cat that did that. Turns out she did it because I wasn’t keeping her box clean enough.
I totally should not be allowed on the Internet when Im drunk. I started bawling trying to convince my husband that we needed that kitten. It worked. I’m wondering though if it was really necessary to leave that many comments on Junes post.

Hope that little kitty finds a home. I am trying to get over losing my dear, sweet 19 yr. old Merlin but I’m not ready for another cat yet. I think it will be a while.

That kitty is absolutely GORGEOUS! He actually looks like a rag-doll kitty that my friend has. This cat is so adorable and vocal and follows you around like a puppy! And he loves to be picked up and have his belly rubbed! THAT, my friends, is MY kinda kitty cat!
Love the tufts coming out of his ears. Doesn’t get any cuter!

Did you know your body has the capability to produce a quart of mucus a day? I actually googled that at 2:30 am when I could not sleep because of the hacking stubborn cough the mucus produces. It’s been a week and since I have now coughed up my second lung I shall have to seek medical intervention. Good luck with a speedy recovery….

Tip for the coughing…put Vicks on the bottom of your feet and put socks on. I do it at night when my daughter coughs all night. It works, I swear!!

OMG! LOVE the ear fur! I’d take him but then we’d both be living outside ’cause my husband and four other cats would throw me out.
Doesn’t Hulkette need a kitty?

More unsolicited health help. Alka-seltzer plus cold medicine works
g r e a t, for me anyway. And it’s fizzy (you can pretend it is champagne)’cept for the lemony kick. Menthol cough drops clear your sinuses and helps your cough and Chloraseptic throat spray stops that tickle in the back of your throat(it comes in cherry).
Hope this is a quick cold. Do they make quick colds? Well, they should dagnabit.
Kitty is regal … I lion not kittie, yes, I do believe that is what he is saying.

more unsolicited medical advice…a humidifier, costs about $20 @ Wal-mart, put it in the bedroom, or where ever you are sleeping. Makes it much easier to breathe.
Also, you really aren’t supposed to do this, but when I get the bronchitis I like to sleep with a heating pad under my chest (stomach sleeper). Very bad for you but feels oh-so-good.
Yeah Humane Society is really not an option…most are full up on cats. He’s gorgeous though and he’s awfully smart to have figured out the social network most likely to find him a home. How long do you think it took him to find the cat-loving friend of a successful cat-loving blogger?.

Poor June! I had the wracking cough for weeks and finally went to the doctor. It took a steroid shot and 20 of those pills that are $10 each to get mine under control. I finished the last pill on Friday and today I coughed again. I’m so tired of winter already. Have Marvin rub you with Vicks again and put Tallu on one side, Edsel on the other and the kitties at your feet and you will get better soon. Love the kitty but Alabama is a looong way from Michigan.

They are awesome, Furry. I stumbled upon the breed too – our Obi was 24 pounds, about the size of a small Cocker Spaniel, black with a smoky undercoat, and utterly and completely gorgeous. He was the best cat we’ve ever had. He died 3 years ago and I miss him every single day. I so wish I lived closer – I’d take that beautiful cat..even though I already have three!

Lisa in Fla. : Aida is my fifth after stumbling into the breed through the Human Society. Love. I adore the way they don’t resist being picked up. The silky, no maintenance fur and the sweet calm disposition. The fact that they are movie star gorgeous doesn’t hurt, either.

June, here’s hoping all the Vick’s Vaporubbing and pampering will pull you through this health crisis. I have a big pot of soup cooking on the stove right now, can I send you some?
I wish I could take that little kitty but I am at my quota right now. Will pass the word on though. Hopefully we can all go through our lists and find just the right match for that pretty little girl.

What a gorgeous boy! I would take him in a heartbeat if I didn’t live far away. And if I hadn’t adopted three kittens last month.

Yes, definitely a Maine Coon – and Furry, they are the best, aren’t they?
If I still lived in Michigan, I would take him in a heartbeat. I’m in Florida though. :-((
Hope you feel better!

Ohhhhhh! Maine Coon! The BEST breed EVER. He looks just like my Aida Velveeta. She’s not very big either, but most of them get quite large (20 lbs!). He could catch up with the proper home…
Alas, I am too far away and 14 year old Aida has started to become incontinent, which is troublesome when you’re trying to potty train a newbie.

Mom, she does not want him to be at the Humane Society because he could literally be there for years. One of her other cats had been there two and a half years. Plus he could easily catch something there and he is so skinny. And yes, she put up posters and put an ad in the paper for him.

He is a cute kitty. I love his rangy mane, but I am nowhere near Michigan and sometimes my home is not a GOOD HOME like when the dogs will not go out because it is raining and then they finally go out when it is POURING and decide to play in the rain and chase each other around and then they get yelled at by me and rubbed very roughly with a towel while I curse their stupidity. But usually I am a GOOD HOME.
Hope you don’t cough up a lung. Feel better soon!

Oh, what a cute kitty. I hope it finds a home. Has she thought about the Humane Society there? Ours will keep them until they find a home. I hope you are not getting the flu. It’s going around as they say. P.S. Have they put an ad out in lost and found somewhere re: the cat?
