Winston’s peaceful existence. A thing of the past.

So now I have to drag out old posts to keep you amused. THERE IS A LOT OF WORK. I don't know if I've mentioned that. Anyway, here is May of 2010, when I still had my beloved wonderful Winston, and Henry was a bitty kitten.

At one point, I was sort of hot, in a "she's 27 and probably a 7" kind of a way. Now I'm old and have to develop a charming personality. Guess how that's going.

  1. Too funny! So typical for a little kitten and an older cat. I thought Winston was adjusting to the new little fur baby.
Speaking of fur babies, our feathered babies (Carolina Wrens) flew away today. Sad, but it was a bit crowded with four of them in that little bird bottle.

  2. You have work? Why didn’t you tell us? Winston and Henry are so sweet they make me want another cat.

  3. Oh! Oh, oh, oh! I forgot how absolutely cute Henry was when he was a bitty kitten head. And Winston. So regal, so beleaguered. I miss them. I’m happy to see the beautiful Iris and Lily but oh! Winston! oh! Henry!

  4. Why do these pictures make me cry? I love your cats.
My 18 year old daughter who is going through her very first broken heart (stupid stupid stupid boy) found this:
People suck, but it’s ok because CATS.

  5. Hen! And Win!
Who has time to work? I’m busy picking up my old dog out of the flowerbed and training my new dog not to eat the cat or bounce the birds out of their cages.
And then there are the other needy three.
I wouldn’t have it any other way.

  6. We all got bonded to those cats. I guess in time we will bond to Iris and Lily, too. I mean, I love them–LOVE THEM!–but I had Winnie for so many years, and Henry was so cool. And would not grow.

  7. Also was hoping for the return of Winston. But the photos remind me of how much I LOVE kittens, especially kittens with older cats. Endless entertainment!
    Back to work now…

  12. Anita I hope you feel better soon. Hubs and I have had a horrid cold all week and today is the first day I’ve felt like living. Plus there is a monster movie marathon on TCM so that makes it even better!

The comments confuzzled me momentarily. I thought we were time travelers.

I miss Fran. I know, right?!? But still. Miss him. Mostly I miss him passed out all dressed up in his costumes.

  15. Yes, pics of Fran would be welcome by new pie peeps, but also a synopsis of the angry chair in relation to Fran. I haven’t yet made it to the archives that explain that and would be interested.

  16. My …friend does not read my blog but I have sent him a few of my archives, because sometimes I will be in the midst of telling a story via email and Ill just be all, Oh here. Read about it. Anyway, he was back in my archives, which sounds dirty, and stumbled on the Fran in a wig pics. He was all, WHAT IS THIS? THIS IS HILARIOUS! Not that he was shouting. But he kind of was.

  17. Unless your …friend has an amazing amount of self control (and June you obviously would know the details on that character trait) there is No Way he hasn’t read more than just stories you have sent along to him. How could he help himself? He is already sucked up into your vortex in person. Seems to me he would be totally sucked up into your blog as well. Name me 3 people who have gone on here, read a few things and walked away. See. Told you so.

  18. Henry was always a photogenic cat. My favorite picture of Henry is when he was on top of the refigerator.

    3. Me-I’m hardly ever here anymore. Too many cat pictures…

  20. You have to hand it to Hen. Getting his little cute body all twisted just so he can get a chomp, chomp, chomp of Winston’s tail. No fear. I miss them so.

Oh, I loved Fran. His nasty self reminded me so much of my evil, yet beloved, Oregano.

Those others left after reading this blog for quite some time.
I stand by my statement. June is like Lay’s. No one can eat just one. I wonder if …friend likes …Lay’s? Anyone know the answer? Anyone?
